10. If you leave your car doors open when you bring in your groceries, you can plan on finding a stray cat in your back seat when you return. The cat will most likely be missing half its tail and/or an ear.

8. Cheap rent.
7. The feeling of life hanging in the balance every time you bike past the trailer with the little white dog.
6. Cramming 50 people into your living room for a Halloween party (and then leaving the decorations up year-round).
5. Not even caring that you have a box air conditioner duct taped into your window (it’s 40°C outside and the blankets you tacked up aren’t doing much).
4. Wondering if today is gonna be the day that the “Turner and Hooch” dog breaks free from the end of his chain.

1. Meeting the best friends you’ll ever have.
Note: This post was written with the intention of providing a humourous look into the world of trailer living. I’ve loved my time on Spruce and I’m positive that, in addition to the things listed above, I have personally contributed to trailer park “classiness” along the way (e.g. running an outdoor clothesline across your kitchen; failing to remove the 6-foot sunflower stalks from your front yard once they’ve died; storing your winter tires on the lawn; using towels as curtains; etc.).
